Nature of the mandate

Repair of the concrete pillar by resurfacing without excess thickness. Prior bush hammering,installation of formwork, concrete pouring, formwork removal, final cleaning and restoration ofthe site.

• Visual inspection of the structure with simultaneous video recording.
• Installation of containment curtain.
• Rehabilitation of the pillar by concreting without excess thickness.

Challenges and solutions

The main problem was related to the protection of the environment in a protected salmon river. Our team used a containment curtain placed in a high flow river. The bush hammering work had to be done with care in order to limit the intake of sediment and concrete particles.
