Tadoussac and Baie Ste-Catherine
Société des Traversiers du Québec
Surface and underwater inspection of the two(2) wharves of the ferries linking Baie-Sainte-Catherine to Tadoussac. Following the inspections, the sacrificial anodes were cleaned and some of them were replaced.
Logistics vs. security problem due to the constant presence of moving ferries in addition to the vortices created by the Saguenay current. Problems partially resolved by using a direct communication system between the diving team and the ship captains. In addition, access to the water was guaranteed by the descent of the diver by a hydraulically driven cage between the buttresses of the structures in the interior section between the rock massifs and the deck of the wharves.
